    PERPETUAL PROFESSION OF BRO. MARTIN

    WHAT WE DO

The British province of The Salesians (SDB) is involved in working with young people in a variety of situations. Originally there was a strong emphasis on schools for young people but in recent years the work of the province has grown more into the development of chaplaincy, in retreat work with young people and in supporting the many lay workers in their work with young people. Projects for young people revolve around parish and school settings and the summer is an intense time of holidays and training experiences for a wide range of young people. We also run two volunteer communities and encourage young people to travel to other parts of the Salesian network to serve the developing world. Through our communities we are in contact with thousands of young people on a daily basis and it is their needs that focus our attention, our prayer and our energy.
